Oakmont Whiskey was produced by a father-son duo, William Muehleisen and William Muehleisen Jr. based in Washington, D.C.  This label indicates it was produced after 1906, when all rectified whiskies were required by law to state that they were a blend. The caution about ‘unscrupulous dealers' refilling bottles provides insight into the unchecked practices of the liquor industry during the turn of the century.
